A $50 donation takes us a step further by covering the fees for software applications that play a pivotal role in tracking student performance. Your generosity enables 10 students to access the tools they need to thrive academically, providing invaluable support in their educational journey.
$100 – Bridging the Gap in Education
Stepping up to a $100 donation propels us into the realm of Response to Intervention (RTI). This contribution supports expenses related to software applications that assist our guides in providing specific Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) review for our students. It’s an investment in personalized learning, ensuring each child receives the attention and resources needed to succeed.
$800 – Sustaining Educational Excellence
A substantial $800 donation covers the cost of training for one guide in the Science of Teaching Reading. House Bill 3, passed during the 86th Texas Legislature, established the requirement that all teacher candidates who teach students in grades Pre-K-6 demonstrate proficiency in the science of teaching reading on a new, standalone certification.
In the past, the state covered these expenses, but now the responsibility falls on us. Currently, we have six teachers in training and two more starting in January. This has become an unfunded mandate, with each new staff member incurring an expense of $4,800. Your contribution directly sustains the excellence of our educational team, ensuring that they receive the necessary training to provide top-notch education to our students.
