Dear Goodwater Families
I hope this note finds you and your family well.
Another school year has come to an end, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our families, students, staff, and the Board of Directors for assisting us in making the 2023-2024 school year a success. We hope you have a wonderful summer and look forward to the 2024-2025 school year. This summer we will be updating our curriculum, continue to look for ways to improve our school, and focus on enhancing the Montessori experience while being compliant with the requirements of the Texas Education Agency. We are proud of the school and look forward to the future.
The support from our Goodwater Montessori School community has been amazing. We deeply appreciate all of our volunteers, especially our wonderful PTO. A special thank you goes out to the Sunshine Committee and to all the families who have devoted so much energy to creating a great learning environment for our students.
We also want to give a big “Shout Out” for the last school day event that was held today. A big thank you to Michelle Wong, Alicia Olivieri, Maegan Kizzar, and all of the parent volunteers who shared their time with our school. I speak for the entire staff and student body in saying, “All of you have made this a very special last day of school.”
This summer, we hope you enjoy quality time with family and friends. To our returning students, we look forward to seeing you in August. To those students and families not returning, we appreciate all the support you have provided us and wish you continued success.

STAAR Results
Document: STAAR Log-in Information
STAAR results for students in grades 3-8 will be available in the Family Portal on June 14. You should have received a secure email from either TEA or Cambium Assessment that contains a link to obtain your child’s Unique Access Code that is used to access STAAR results in the Family Portal at www.texasassessment.gov on or after June 14. Although the email states that the LINK to access the code will expire; your child’s Unique Access Code does not expire and remains the same year after year. Send an email to roberta.givens@goodwatermontessori.org if you cannot locate the email or your child’s access code.

Important Returning Student News!
Hello! The returning student registration forms are now PAST DUE. I have emailed every family that has not completed their registration forms to notify you that your student’s spot is not secure for the 2024-2025 school year until I receive the packet. Library News
Please help us return library books before the summer break. Look for books with a “GOODWATER MONTESSORI LIBRARY” red or white barcode label. Return books to the front office if the book drop-off box is full.
Papers with checked-out books went home with students this week. We do not charge for overdue books.
